Full Synopsis
Set in a rural farming community, Riding Thunder follows Jesse Randall, a determined teenage girl struggling to cope with the loss of her horse, Buttercup. When she encounters a powerful and mysterious horse named Thunder, she discovers a spark she thought she’d lost.
Thunder belongs to Ben Wilder, a hardened recluse grieving the death of his daughter. Despite his resistance, Jesse’s persistence breaks through his walls, and the two form a quiet alliance—bonded by loss and the healing power of horses.
As Jesse trains with Thunder, she prepares to face her longtime rival, Riley, in a high-stakes race. But the pressure mounts: her family’s ranch is at risk of foreclosure, her best friend is leaving town, and her confidence is tested at every turn.
Through courage, compassion, and an unbreakable bond with Thunder, Jesse must overcome her fears and prove that sometimes winning isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about finding your way back to yourself.
