Logline

After serving 28 years for the murder of his father—a crime he insists was committed by a mythical creature—Kyle Woodburn returns to his hometown to prove his innocence, only to discover that the monster is hunting again.

Synopsis

In 1997, a fractured father-son relationship takes a deadly turn when teenage Kyle Woodburn witnesses a monstrous Bigfoot kill his father deep in the California wilderness. When hikers discover Kyle holding the bloodied weapon, his unbelievable story seals his fate—he’s convicted of murder.

Twenty-eight years later, Kyle returns home, haunted by trauma and branded a killer. His half-brother Joseph, now the town Sheriff, refuses to believe his innocence. The town hasn’t forgotten either.

But one man does believe him: Rex Wilder, a survivalist with evidence and a theory—that a rare, predatory Bigfoot is responsible for a pattern of disappearances. As new victims vanish, Kyle sees his chance to prove the truth.

Joined by Amy, a psychiatrist who initially believes Kyle’s story is a psychological defense, the trio ventures into the forest to uncover what’s really out there.

What they find is worse than legend. A massive, intelligent predator that stalks, hunts, and kills.

When the creature attacks, Kyle finally confronts the monster that stole his life. In a brutal encounter, he wounds it—leaving behind physical evidence that could finally prove he was telling the truth all along.

But truth comes at a cost. Just as Kyle begins to rebuild his life—and gain love, peace, and validation—the creature returns… not to run, but to finish what it started.

The film ends in shocking darkness as the “unbelievable” becomes undeniable—and fatal.
